A closer look.
Three early Valdemar novels come together in a deluxe hardcover, giving Talia’s opening arc a single place on the shelf.
Why return to this book?
For a new reader, completeness matters more than decoration: this is a clear route through the opening trilogy. For a rereader, the appeal is keeping that sequence together in a designed hardcover.
About the original work
Arrows of the Queen and Arrow’s Flight first appeared in 1987; Arrow’s Fall followed in 1988. The 2027 date belongs to this DAW edition, not to the novels or the first existence of a collected version.
